WELCOME!

Hello everyone! Welcome to Tune in Tuesday!

Creators: Megan McGee (Megan McGee Photography) and Amber Halliburton (Amber Rena Photography)

What we're all about:

Because everyone loves photography and music, we decided to create a little project between ourselves over the next 12 weeks! Each week...we will randomly select a song title by using a Pandora station of our liking and go with the first that appears. We then must capture something using our cameras and creativity that goes along with the song title...a very difficult thing to do for certain songs! (Not gonna lie!) Every Tuesday we will show the world what our eyes, minds, and cameras have captured :)

It is very important for photographers to not get too caught up in their busy schedules...we need to take some time and snap some images just for ourselves! Having a themed picture hunt intensifies the challenge, but we hope to grow through this journey together and become better at what we LOVE to do!

Hope everyone enjoys our little photography project and please remember to comment below our weekly posts, we love to hear what you think!

Week 11 "Sun" by MAE

Hey guys! Things have been pretty hectic around here for Meg and I lately. We are finally getting around to posting our pic from this week! Hope you guys enjoy!

This picture is mine. I love looking out my window at these trees while I edit. The sun was hitting just right on such a cold winters day.  I thought I might take advantage of it :)
This picture is Megan's...I love her sunset image! And the fact that she captured the birds - makes it so surreal! Great job, Meg!

Thanks for stopping by this week! Hope these images made you feel a little warmer inside! As cold as it is out, we need all the warmth we can get!

Week 10 "Everything Will Be Alright" by Joshua Radin

Hello...Amber here! Welcome to Week 10 of Tune In Tuesday! I hope you all are having a great New Year so far! This week's song is "Everything Will Be Alright" by Joshua Radin.

Top picture is Megan's...she says, "The light coming through represents everything will be ok. It's a new day; a fresh start." I love the warmth her picture has to it.

Bottom picture is mine. This week was a true challenge for me. I decided, after several failed attempts, to just create my own cards and display them on some twine with clothes pins. Heck, why not even throw in an old shutter to display it on! I ended up really liking the pictures and felt the repetitiveness was a nice touch as well. Sometimes we just have to keep telling ourselves over and over again that "Everything WILL be Alright".

Thanks for stopping by! Only 2 more Tuesdays left of this project...make sure to come back because the last 2 weeks are going to be great!

Happy Snapping!

Week 9 "Chocolate" by Snow Patrol

Hello everyone...Amber here! Hope you all had a great Christmas!
It is already Week 9 of Tune In Tuesday...so hard to believe! This week's song title is "Chocolate" by Snow Patrol.

This picture on the left is Megan's. This is what she had to say about her image, "So I struggled with this week's project. Yesterday was the beginning of CHANGE for me. I am on a HUGE weighloss goal and have cut out chocolate, pop, tea and anything unhealthy for me. Because I did not have anything remotely close to chocolate in my house, I had to search for something different to use.. so I chose chocolate and mint candy canes :) To all of those with this same resolution of weightloss, YOU CAN DO IT!!"

The picture on the right is mine. Over the holidays, you KNOW you will run into tons of chocolate...I took advantage of it and used this Candy Bar Cake as my "Chocolate" subject. Not only does it look good...it WAS good, too! :)

Thanks for stopping by! See you in the New Year...Hope everyone has a great one!

Merry Christmas & Week 8 "Playing God" by Paramore

Hey Everyone, Meg here!!

Amber and I want to wish everyone a Wonderful Merry Christmas!!!

This weeks song was "Playing God" by Paramore and as a bonus both Amber and I wanted to do a christmas picture :)

The first couple pictures are Amber's and BOY do I love these...what a great idea with the piano and the wording of God!

Amber said, "The first picture is for the song "Playing God". My picture doesn't go along with the song, but I think that you get the meaning :) I was sitting here trying to think up some ideas and I thought, "Why not use an instrument?" So, that is what I did! Haha...

My Christmas image is an ornament from my own tree! Christmas is in fact about CHRIST. Everyone gets so wrapped up in buying presents and worrying about not having enough money. It's not about that at all...it is about spending time with your loved ones and celebrating the "Reason for the Season".  Merry Christmas! :)"

The second set is mine...

I chose to do my first picture of my favorite piece of collectibles.. The Willow's. This particular one is "Waiting" I chose this one because of the pure miracle of a baby growing for nine months in a mother.
Its God's miracle of being able to have such a precious gift.

My Christmas picture if of a Christmas Tree, the traditional color's and the wonderful bokeh. :)

Hope you have enjoyed Week 8! Remember...stay warm, spend LOTS of time with loved ones, and have a VERY Merry Christmas!!! :)

Week 7 "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World

Hey everyone! It's Amber....Hope you are all staying warm in this frigid weather! Sheez! I have been snowed in for the past two days...Thank goodness I had everything that I needed here! Haha!

Anyways, WELCOME to Week 7 of our project! This week is "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World!

Top picture is mine...I chose to do this shot just yesterday! I had made a batch of cupcakes for a previous event and had some left over...I thought to myself, "Why not put some icing in "the middle" of the cupcake and create a cute little tea party setting!" So, that is exactly what I did! :)

Bottom picture is Megan's! I LOVE her picture and the fact that everything looks muted but then you notice the purple of the book backing! It almost looks as if she were reading and just laid it down long enough to snap a picture! Great job, Meg!

I hope you all have enjoyed Week 7 of Tune In Tuesday! I am looking forward to next week...it should be fun! Come back to see us and remember... Happy Snapping!

Week 6 "Breakthrough" by Colbie Caillat

Hey Guys!!! Meg here,  I apologize for our Tuesday blogging a little late. Amber has been celebrating a very special birthday with her Granny and I am doing a huge load of catching up on everything :) Hope you are staying warm out there.. its sure chilly here in Tennessee! So grab a cup of hot coco and take a look at our new post!

Amber said, "I chose this picture because it represents new life...like breaking out of the shell. I added the small touch of a feather to make it feel as if it just happened. I tried some pictures without it, but it just looks right with the feather being there...feels more real."

Mine describes heart breaking. I chose the glass breaking.. the moment it hits the floor it hurts ( like heart break) and then you have a choice to pick it up with care and try to fix the broken pieces to make it whole again or sweep it up and throw it away and give up.
(hope that makes sense to everyone else)

Have a great night!

Week 5 "Swing, Swing" by All-American Rejects

Hey everyone! It's Amber...Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family, friends,
good food, and laughter!!

It's Week 5 or our project! Hope you all enjoy what Meg and I have come up with.

In my picture, the focus is on the chain...it represents holding onto your childhood memories. We all know that memory is a way of holding onto the things that you love, the things that you are, the things that you never want to lose...BUT we get so carried away in our "grown-up lives" sometimes that we forget to hold onto your inner child and just have fun!

Next is Meg's picture...which I love! (The coloring is just perfect!!)
Here is what she had to say, "I chose this picture because of the title, and the happiness we feel when we get on the swing and just swing. All those memories of being a child come floating back to us as we kick out our legs to get higher and higher and let the world just pass us by."

Thanks for visiting us this week! Stay tuned for next weeks blog post!
See you then!
